Eight young women from the 1^st Newmarket Rangers were delighted to receive an award from the High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire at a prestigious Awards Ceremony at St. Ivo School, St. Ives.  The eight girls were nominated for their support of other guiding members with special needs and received an award for achievement in making an exceptional contribution to their local community.  The annual awards scheme was set up in Cambridgeshire over ten years ago, recognising achievement and giving grants to projects which engage young people in positive activities.
